Note: where any dispute or question about the rules occurs, the spirit of the
Official Jet Lag the Game (or player consensus) rules
The basics
- Everyone starts at some central point, such as a subway station
- Victory Points are earned by getting to any Target(s)
- Coins let the Runners move
- Challenges give Coins
- Challenges can only be started within 1/4 mile of a train station
Teams
- The Runners start the game with 100 Coins. All other Coins must be earned with Challenges
- One Runner shares their location with a Chaser
- The Runners goal is to get to as many Targets as possible. Each Target = 1 Victory Point
- When a Target is reached, it is removed from the map, and 2 more get placed
- For each run, the Runners get a 15 minute head start. during this 15 minutes, Runners cannot select a challenge
- Chasers have two options curing this time:
- Stay where they are, and watch the Runners Location for the full 15 minutes
- Freeze for 5 minutes, then move towards the center for 10 minutes, but NO LOCATION at all
- The Chasers are just trying to tag any of the Runners
- If any of the Runners get tagged, the run is over
- When a tag happens, change teams, and the new Runners start from the current location
Misc
- Chaser can split up, Runners cannot
- Only one Chaser can use the location of the Runners, but they may relay any info
- Coins are preserved, so your balance will remain from round to round
- On a tag, roles switch, and the new Runners get a 15 minute head start, but cannot do Challenges during this time
- Both teams start with 100 Coins, then have to use Challenges to earn more
- Only the Runners have to use Coins to travel
- Both the Challenges and Target buttons are random, so if there is a dupe, just try again
